Description
Cranley House is a mid-19th century house that also includes a shop. It is constructed from plastered granite stone rubble, with granite stacks and plastered brick chimney shafts, topped by a slate roof. The house has a double depth plan and faces southeast along the street. Inside, there is a central entrance hall and staircase, with a front and back room on either side, served by gable end stacks. Originally built as a house, the ground floor left front and back rooms have been combined to create a shop, and the building is two storeys high. The exterior features a symmetrical front with three windows, which are 12-pane sashes, arranged around a central six-panel door. The roof is gable-ended. The interior retains much original detail, including an open string stick baluster stair.
