Description

These are two town houses, probably dating to the late 18th century and with a mid-19th century refronting, located on Market Strand in Falmouth. The right-hand house has incised stucco, while the left-hand house has been rendered. They feature a moulded parapet cornice and a dry slate hipped roof with a rendered end stack on the left. The buildings follow a double-depth plan, with deep wings at the rear to the left and right.

The houses are three storeys high and have a three-window front, with the left-hand house (No. 6) having a single-window front that projects forward. Late 19th-century four-pane sash windows with horns are found in No. 7, while No. 6 has 20th-century replacement windows. The ground floor incorporates two late 19th-century shop fronts, each with end pilasters and consoles rising through a moulded entablature with fascia. These shops have altered window displays; the shop in No. 7 has small panes and a doorway on its right, while No. 6 has a taller double shop front. A house doorway is positioned between the two shops, with a squat fanlight above a panelled door. The interior has not been inspected.
