Description
The Bank is a town house that was later converted into a bank and is now a shop. It dates from the early 19th century and was remodeled in the later 19th century. The building is finished in stucco and features a moulded parapet cornice, with the roof not visible. It has an irregular double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a three-bay front. The central bay contains the original 12-pane sash window above a blind window, while the outer bays feature later canted bays with horned sashes that include glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a former bank front from the 1930s, which has a full-width moulded entablature. The ends of the ground floor are flanked by channelled rustication around the doorways, which have half-diamond patterned overlights, and there are four segmental-arched lights situated between plain Doric half columns. The interior has not been inspected.
