Description

This is an early 19th-century shop premises located on Market Strand in Falmouth. The building is constructed of stucco on studwork, with a curved grouted scantle slate roof and a brick stack on the left side. It occupies a curved corner site and includes a deep rear wing. The building is three storeys high and has a two-window front. The windows are mid-to-late 19th-century four-pane hornless sashes, though they may be original sashes with intervening glazing bars removed. The ground floor features a full-width, late 19th-century shop front with five lights, end pilasters, and tall consoles rising above a moulded entablature with a fascia. The shop front has round-arched lights, with a doorway located on the right. The interior has not been inspected. The property includes the building at No. 2 Killigrew Street.
