Description

This is a mid-18th century townhouse with a later shop incorporated. It is built of textured stucco or render on a timber studwork frame, with a steeply pitched dry slate roof and a truncated external stack on the left-hand side. The building has a shallow-depth plan with a rear extension, and extends to three storeys with a three-window front. The second floor retains rare original hornless sash windows with thick glazing bars, featuring a tripartite arrangement flanking a twelve-pane sash. The first floor has tripartite casement windows from the 20th century. The ground floor displays a 20th-century two-pane window on the left and a 20th-century shop front with a glazed and panelled doorway centrally positioned. The interior was not inspected, but may contain some original features.
