Description
Lloyds Bank Limited is a town house that has been converted into a bank, dating from the early 19th century. The exterior features incised stucco on studwork, with openings that have segmental heads and keyblocks. The building has a hipped roof covered with dry slate at the front and asbestos slate on the rest, including asbestos slate-hanging on the left-hand side. It has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a three-window range. The windows on the upper floors are 20th-century 16-pane horned sashes, and there is a mid-floor string course. The ground floor displays a full-width entablature supported by three pilasters, wide window openings with 20th-century three-light casements, and a pedimented doorway positioned towards the left. Inside, the ground floor has restored or replica moulded ceiling cornices featuring egg-and-dart enrichment.
