Description
A pair of town houses with later shops, dating from the late 18th century. The houses are constructed with stucco on a probable studwork frame, and have a dry slate mansard roof with three segmental-arched dormers, each containing a late 19th-century four-pane horned sash window. Brick end stacks are also present. The houses follow a double-depth plan, and are three storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window (2:1-window) facade. The windows on the upper floors are tripartite sashes; No.9 has early or mid 19th-century hornless sashes, while No.11 has later horned sashes. The ground floor features late 19th-century shopfronts with pilasters, consoles, and a moulded entablature. No.9 has three lights to the left of the original doorway and two lights within the original window opening to the right. No.11 has three wider transomed lights on the left, and a doorway with a glazed and panelled door on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
