Description

College Farmhouse is a small farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched thatched roof. A brick end stack sits on a stone base. The building has a two-unit plan and includes a single-storey extension with a hipped slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has a one-window range. The entrance, located off-centre to the left, consists of a plank door with a moulded wood surround and a hood above. Flanking the entrance are a two-light and a three-light wood casement window, both with wood lintels. To the immediate right of the door is a small two-light stone mullioned window. On the first floor, there is a three-light casement window. The interior is reported to have the original roof and beams, but it has not been inspected.
