Description
The Old Bakery is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with a 19th-century rear addition and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed from squared, coursed ironstone and features a slate roof with an M shape. The building has brick ridge and end stacks set on chamfered stone bases. It has a 3-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, with a three-window range. The entrance is off-centre to the left and includes a panelled and glazed door, along with a 20th-century trellis porch. On the ground floor, there are three 3-light metal casements within wooden frames, each topped with keyblock stone lintels. The first floor has three similar windows with wooden lintels. There are also blocked window and door openings on the left side of the building, and some wrought-iron casement fasteners can be found. Inside, there is a bread oven.
