Description

Charlie's Cottage is a small cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is built of uncoursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched and raised thatched roof with a stone stack at one end. The cottage has a one-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic. The end facing the road has a stable door with a hipped thatched porch. In the attic, there is a 3-light metal casement window set in a wooden frame, featuring lead cames and a wrought-iron casement fastener. The left side of the cottage has a blocked entrance and two 20th-century windows with wooden lintels. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value.
