It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone, with some burnt stones, and features a steeply pitched thatched roof. The cottage has renewed stone and brick ridge stacks and a 20th-century lean-to with a 20th-century entrance. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, situated gable-end to the road. The gable facing the road has a blocked entrance with an inserted 20th-century window and a stop-chamfered wood lintel. The attic includes a 20th-century window with a stop-chamfered wood lintel, and there is a blocked attic window on the right return elevation. The left elevation features a two-light metal casement in a wood frame with a wood lintel and wrought-iron casement fasteners. The interior has not been inspected.
