Description

Grange Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is built of coursed squared ironstone and features a glazed black pantile roof, along with brick ridge and end stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window range. The central door, from the 19th century, has long pointed arched panels and is set within a timber porch added in the 20th century. To the right of the ground floor, there is a two-light casement window, and the first floor has two-light casements, all with wood lintels. The gables are brick-coped. Inside, the cottage includes a chamfered spine beam and an inglenook with a bressumer.
