Description

Potter Hill Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on Nottingham Road, Asfordby. It is constructed of red brick in an irregular, predominantly stretcher bond, and is painted. The roof is covered in black pantile, with brick end and ridge stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and a three-storey, three-window front. A 20th-century door is situated to the left of centre, featuring a segmental-arched head and key block. A plank door is located to the right of centre, also with a similar segmental-arched head and key block. The ground floor has two-light casement windows, and the first floor windows alternate with blank windows above the doors. All windows have segmental-arched heads and key blocks. The second floor has one-light casement windows to the left and right of the central two-light window, all with wood lintels. The farmhouse features an ironstone plinth, which is partly rendered, along with storey bands and stepped brick eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
