Description
Ambleside is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries, including 19th-century additions. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a thatched roof with a brick end stack. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The ground floor has two-light casement windows with concrete lintels, while the attic features two-light casements set in eyebrow dormers. There is an entrance and porch located at the right end of the building. At the rear, there is a parallel range built in the 19th century, made of brick with a pantile roof. The interior has not been inspected.
