Description
Chapel House is a late 17th-century cottage situated on Wroxxton Lane in Horley. The building is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and has a 20th-century wood shingle roof, with stone and brick end stacks. It follows a two-unit plan across two storeys, and originally presented a two-window front. The entrance on the left side has a 20th-century door and wood lintel. To the right, there are two three-light stone mullioned windows with hood moulds and label stops. The first floor has two two-light metal casements, each with a wood lintel and wrought-iron casement fasteners. The interior remains uninspected. The Victoria County History of Oxfordshire, Volume IX, page 124, records details of the property.
