Description
St. Anne's Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched roof covered with tiles from the 20th century. The gables are stone coped and have moulded kneelers, while there are brick stacks at each end. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range. The entrance is located off-centre to the right and includes a 20th-century door and porch. This entrance is flanked by three-light stone mullioned windows that have hood moulds and label stops. There are two similar windows on the first floor. The right end of the cottage has a two-light and a single-light stone mullioned or stone framed window. At the rear, there is a lower extension with a slate roof and a brick stack. The interior has not been inspected.
