Description
This is a one-and-a-half-story house and cottage, now combined into a single dwelling. The core of the building dates to the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century and later additions. It is constructed of squared, coursed ironstone, and has a steeply pitched thatched roof. Brick stacks, set on stone bases, rise from the end and ridge of the roof. The building originally comprised two units, with a later addition forming a third.
The left side of the building is two stories high, with a three-window front. An approximately central entrance is marked by a plank door set within a flat, moulded stone head, a hood mould, and diamond-shaped label stops. Flanking the entrance are three-light metal casement windows in wooden frames, featuring wrought-iron casement fasteners and chamfered wooden lintels. The first floor of this section contains two three-light and one two-light windows, all similar in style.
The right side of the building is two stories high, with a one-window facade. A blocked entrance is visible on the right side of this section. The ground floor has a three-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stop. The first floor contains a three-light wooden casement window with a wrought-iron casement fastener and wood lintel. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
