Description
Corner House is a house consisting of two builds, dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched roof covered with 20th-century tiles. The house has brick ridge and end stacks set on a stone base.
The layout is a two-unit plan with an extension on the left side. It stands two storeys tall and has a two-window range, plus an additional window in the extension. The main part of the house has an approximately central entrance that features a six-panelled door topped with a 20th-century hood. Flanking the entrance are a three-light 20th-century casement window on the left and another three-light casement window on the right, both with wooden lintels. The first floor has a similar arrangement of windows.
The lower part of the building, located on the corner, is likely from the early 19th century and includes a plank door with a wooden lintel, along with two- and three-light 20th-century windows. The house is included for its group value.
