Description
Butlin Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is built from squared, coursed ironstone and features a steeply pitched slate roof. The gable is stone-coped with a moulded kneeler on the right side. The building has blue brick end stacks and a three-unit plan, standing two storeys tall with a four-window range. The entrance, located to the right, has a panelled and glazed door beneath a gabled hood. On the ground floor, there is a three-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stops, alongside two 20th-century casements that have a wood lintel and an arched stone head. The first floor contains four 20th-century windows with wood lintels. A single-storey section on the right side is not of special architectural interest. The interior has not been inspected.
