Description
Ellens Place is a pair of houses located at Nos. 5 and 7 on Hibernia Street in Ramsgate, dating from around 1840. The houses are constructed of stock brick, with No. 7 painted, and feature a slate roof. They rise three storeys above a basement, topped with a parapet and have stacks at the rear. The second and first floors display alternating blank window spaces and glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor includes tripartite bows with glazing bar sashes on the right. To the left, there is a glazed door, and to the centre right, a six-panel door set in keyed gauged surrounds, accessed by flights of four steps. The basements have a metal casement window to the left and a glazing bar sash window to the right. Simple railings are present along the steps and around the basement areas. A name plaque is located to the centre left, inscribed with "Ellens Place 1-17."
