Description
No. 4 is a terrace house located on Albion Place in Ramsgate, built between 1789 and 1792. The building features a roughcast and rendered exterior, standing four storeys high with a basement on a rusticated base. It has a parapet and chimney stacks at both ends.
The third floor has two sash windows, while the second floor has three sash windows. The first floor includes two sash windows and a central French window, all beneath a tented verandah supported by simple iron brackets. The verandah is adorned with simple piers featuring scrolled brackets and Gothick panelled rails.
On the ground floor, there are two sash windows and a door made up of six raised and fielded panels located to the right, set within a panelled rebated doorway that has a moulded surround and five steps leading up. A single sash window is present in the basement. The property is finished with spear head railings topped with lobed double domed finials.
