Description

This is a terrace house dating from 1789 to 1792, located on the north-west side of Albion Place in Ramsgate. The building is constructed from stock brick, with some areas painted, and has a slate roof. It stands four storeys high, with a basement, and features a parapet and a chimney stack to the left. The upper floors have three sash windows each, with gauged heads above the windows on the third and second floors. The first floor has two sash windows and a central French window. A flat-roofed verandah with simple piers, cast-iron rails, and scrolled brackets extends outwards. The ground floor features two sash windows and a door consisting of six raised and fielded panels, the top two panels being glazed. A semi-circular fanlight is set within a panelled doorcase with a moulded surround. A single sash window is located in the basement. Spearhead style ironwork rails enclose the steps and the railed area, culminating in urn finial posts.
