Description
No. 20 Albion Place is a terrace house that was once used as municipal offices, built around 1790. The building is rendered and features a slate roof. It has four storeys and a basement, topped with a parapet. On the third floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows, while the second floor has three sash windows, all set in moulded surrounds. The first floor includes three French windows and a tented verandah supported by geometric trellised piers and rail panels with a Gothick pattern. The ground floor has three sash windows and a single window in the basement. Originally, there was an entry through a doorway on the left side, which is now blocked. Currently, access to the building is from the adjacent Council offices, which share the same structural core but have been significantly altered and are no longer eligible for listing.
