Description
No. 5 is a terrace house built between 1789 and 1792. It is constructed of stock brick, with some areas rendered, and has a slate roof. The house has a rustic base and a parapet, with a stack positioned on the left side. The windows on the third and second floors are three-sash windows with gauged heads. On the first floor are three French windows, which are sheltered by a tented verandah supported by simple brackets. Below the verandah is an elliptical arcade supported by Chinoiserie-geometric piers, with decorative Gothick pattern iron rails. The ground floor has two sash windows and a door consisting of six moulded panels, a semi-circular fanlight, and five steps. There are two sash windows with vertical glazing bars in the basement. The railed area is enclosed by spearhead rails, surmounted by baluster finial principals.
