Description
No. 3 with railed area is a terrace house built between 1789 and 1792, located on the north-west side of Albion Place in Ramsgate. The building is constructed of painted and rendered brick and features a slate roof. It stands four storeys high with a basement, showcasing a moulded cornice and a chimney stack on the right side.
The façade includes three sash windows with moulded surrounds and cornices on the third and second floors, along with three double-hung sash windows with moulded surrounds on the first floor. This level also features a tented verandah supported by iron trellis piers, adorned with anthemion and palmette-pattern valancing, as well as heart and wheel rails on scrolled brackets.
On the ground floor, there are two sash windows and a door made of six raised and fielded panels located to the right. This door is topped with a semi-circular fanlight set within a rusticated surround, leading up five steps. The basement is rusticated and includes a sash window and an outer door. The steps are flanked by simple rails, while the area features spearhead rails with double domed finial principals.
