Description
No. 9, and railed area, is a terrace house built between 1798 and 1801. The exterior is white stock brick, painted on the ground floor, with a slate roof. The house is four storeys high, with a basement, and features a parapet and a stack located centrally to the left. The upper floors have three sashes with gauged heads. The ground floor features two sashes, also with gauged heads, and a door to the right consisting of six raised and fielded panels, topped with a semi-circular fanlight. The door is surrounded by a pilaster and entablature, leading up a flight of four steps. The basement has a sash window with vertical glazing bars, and a panelled outer door. A railed area is present, with spearhead rails and urn finials. The first floor has three full-height sashes, with a verandah incorporating three elliptical arches supported on turned piers, a valance, and a simple iron balustrade fixed to wooden brackets.
