Description

No. 13, along with its railed area, is a terrace house dating from 1798 to 1801. The building is constructed of white stock brick with a slate roof, and features a parapet with a stack positioned centrally to the left. It is four storeys high with a basement. The third floor has two sashes with gauged heads, and the second floor also has two sashes with gauged heads; the second-floor sashes contain a central sunk panel. A glazed door is located on the left-hand side. The first floor has two full-height sashes, the upper sections of which have glazing bars, and a verandah with three elliptical bays supported by wrought iron piers featuring clasped rings, and a chinoiserie geometric wrought iron balustrade. The ground floor has two sashes with painted gauged heads, and a door consisting of five panels, a rectangular fanlight, and a surround with attached Doric columns and a cornice, leading to a flight of four steps. A mullioned window and boarded outer door are present on the basement level. The railed area is defined by spearhead rails with urn finial principals.
