Description
No. 4 is a terrace house built between 1798 and 1801, located on Nelson Crescent in Ramsgate. The building is constructed of white stock brick, with the lower floors roughcast and topped with a slate roof. It has four storeys and a basement, featuring a cornice and balustrade at the roof with a central stack.
On the second and third floors, there are three sash windows with gauged heads. The first floor has two sash windows and a central glazed door, which is accompanied by a verandah featuring a three-bay elliptical arcade supported by slender double piers and a wrought iron balustrade. The ground floor includes two sash windows with moulded surrounds, and to the right, there is a six-panelled door with a semi-circular fanlight, pilaster, and cornice surround above a flight of five steps. Additionally, there is a sash window in the basement and a glazed outer door located below the stairs. The property is finished with spearhead rails that have urn finial principals.
