Description
No. 2 and the railed area is a terrace house built between 1789 and 1792, located on the north-west side of Albion Place in Ramsgate. The building is rendered and features a slate roof. It has four storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a rusticated base and a cornice and parapet that includes a stack to the left and a large 20th-century dormer.
On the third and second floors, there are three sash windows, while the first floor has three French windows that open onto a tented verandah supported by trellised iron piers. The verandah is adorned with iron valancing and heart and wheel rails, all resting on scrolled brackets. The ground floor features two sash windows and a boarded door that has a moulded four-centred arched head, complemented by a rectangular fanlight and a flight of five steps leading up to it. The basement has two sash windows and a door, with simple rails to the steps and the basement area, which includes baluster finial principals and a ramped gate rail.
