Description
Number 14 is a terraced house located in Bedford Square, Brighton, built around 1807 to 1828 with later alterations. The building is constructed of stucco and has a slate roof. It stands four storeys high over a basement and features a one-window range. The ground floor is decorated with banded rustication. There are steps leading up to a flat-arched entrance with an overlight. The upper floors have a full-height bay that is slightly offset, while the ground floor bay is segmental and canted above. The ground floor also includes triple windows flanked by fluted pilasters. A bracketed verandah with cast-iron railings is present on the first floor, and there is a cornice above the second floor. An attic has been added, featuring a secondary cornice and a blocking course, with stacks located at the party walls. The interior has not been inspected. The property also has cast-iron railings leading to the steps and area.
