Description
Number 17 is a terraced house built around 1815, located on the east side of Grand Parade in Brighton. The building is constructed of stucco and has a roof that is obscured by a parapet. It stands four storeys high over a basement and features a one-window range. The ground floor is decorated with banded rustication and includes a flat-arched entrance with a cornice, overlight, and a panelled door that retains its original design. There is a full-height segmental bay with glazing that has been altered over time, and a balcony on the first floor with cast-iron railings. The other windows are fitted with cast-iron window guards, and there is a cornice that does not extend around the bay. The building has a parapet and a stack on the party wall. The interior has not been inspected, but there are cast-iron railings leading to the steps and area.
