Description
Number 26 is a terraced house located on Gloucester Place in Brighton, dating from the early 19th century but refronted in the mid-19th century. The building is stuccoed with a roof that is concealed by a parapet and features a cemented chimneystack. It has four storeys and a basement, with two windows, one of which includes a four-storey splayed bay. A wide modillion cornice adorns the top of the house. The sash windows primarily have vertical glazing bars and horns. The first floor features a tented canopy and a cast-iron balcony with quatrefoil motifs. On the right side, there is a round-headed doorcase with a fanlight, pilasters, and a six-panelled door. The interior has not been inspected. There is a flight of steps with attached spear railings and area railings.
