Description

No 1 Carlton Hill is a detached villa built in the mid-19th century, designed in a Tudor or "Gothick" style. The building is finished in stucco and has two storeys with two main bays. The right bay projects outward, while the left bay features projecting porches. The entrance has a four-centred arch with a traceried glazed door, and the windows are square-headed with 2-light timber mullions and transoms. There are drip-moulds above the ground floor right bay, which has projecting canted bay windows that are corniced. The right bay has a gable with a parapet, and there is a return to the left. This villa is included in the register for its group value.
