Description

No. 26 Loudoun Road is a detached house dating to around 1840. It is constructed of stucco, with a slate roof extending to the eaves. The house is built in a Tudor/Gothic style. It is two storeys high, with three bays. The right-hand bay is slightly forward, forming a cross wing with a large gable above. A smaller gable is present over the left-hand bay. The central entrance is square-headed and features a panelled and traceried door, now covered by a later glass canopy. The ground floor windows are square-headed with timber cross mullions, originally featuring dripmoulds, now removed. The left-hand ground floor has a square bay window with plate glass casements. The gables have moulded coping, and an inset lozenge with quatrefoil cusps is visible.
