Description
No. 22 Loudoun Road is a detached house built around 1840, designed in a Tudor or "Gothick" style. The building is finished in stucco and has a slate pitched roof that extends to the eaves. It stands two storeys high and features three bays, with the right-hand bay slightly set forward as a cross wing beneath a large gable. The left-hand bay has a smaller gable.
The windows on the left are set in a slightly projecting panel that rises to the gable. The central entrance is a gabled timber porch adorned with a decorative bargeboard. The ground floor has square-headed windows with timber cross mullions, while the upper left and lower right windows have dripmoulds. The ground floor also features small paned casements with margin glazing. The gables are topped with moulded coping and spiked finials, and the left gable includes an inset pointed blind window.
