Description

No. 20 Loudoun Road is a detached house dating to around 1840 and constructed of stucco, with a slate roof. The design is in the Tudor or "Gothic" style. The house is two storeys high, with a three-bay section to the right, which projects slightly as a cross wing beneath a large gable. A smaller gable is present on the left-hand side. A central, square-headed entrance leads to a panelled and traceried door. The ground floor windows are square-headed and have timber cross mullions; the left-hand ground floor features a square bay window, while the right-hand one has a dripmould and a shield above. A dripmould also adorns the upper right-hand window. The windows are plate glass casements. The gables have moulded coping and spiked finials, with a shield prominent on the right gable.
