Description

A pair of semi-detached villas located on Clifton Hill, dating from the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco with slate hipped roofs extending to the eaves. Each villa has two storeys and a basement, and is two windows wide. The entrances are pilastered and square-headed, with architraved surrounds. Margin-glazed sash windows are present, with pedimental cornices over the ground-floor windows. Bracketed eaves are a notable feature. Cast iron balustrades define the entrance steps, and basement garages are incorporated into the design. The buildings form part of an unusually complete surviving architectural scheme.
