Description

No. 16 Clifton Hill is a detached villa built around 1840. The building is finished in stucco and features a hipped slate roof that extends to the eaves. It stands two storeys tall with a basement and is three windows wide. There are steps leading to the entrance on the left side, which is set within a projecting porch supported by pilasters. The entrance has panelled doors, and the windows are square-headed with architraved sashes, corniced on the ground floor. The upper floor windows have plate glass with margin glazing, and there are cast iron guards on the ground floor windows. This villa is part of an unusually complete surviving layout.
