Description

26 and 28 Clifton Hill are a pair of semidetached houses built around 1840. They are constructed of stucco and feature a slate roof that extends to the eaves. The outer bays have projecting pilastered porches, and the houses have panelled doors. The ground floor is adorned with square-headed architraved plate glass sash windows that are corniced, and there are cast iron window guards on the ground floor. Access to the entrances is via steps that are enclosed by a cast iron balustrade. These houses are part of an unusually complete surviving layout.
