Description
Nos 47 and 49 Clifton Hill are a pair of semidetached houses built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from grey brick with stucco dressings and feature a slate hipped roof that extends to the eaves. Each house has two windows across and stands two storeys high with a basement. The outer bays have projecting pilastered porches. The windows are square-headed, architraved sashed windows, with cornicing on the ground floor and some retaining glazing bars. There are cast iron window guards on the ground floor. No 47 has a garage at the basement level. This pair is part of an unusually complete surviving scheme.
