Description
Nos 84 and 86 Clifton Hill are a pair of semidetached houses built around 1840. They are constructed of gault brick with stucco dressings and feature a slate hipped roof that extends to the eaves. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with two windows across the front and a one-window recessed bay on the outside of each house that contains an entrance in a projecting porch supported by square piers. The ground floor has channelling and a cornice above, while the square-headed windows are architraved above the ground floor and corniced at the first floor. The windows are sashes with plate glass. These houses are an integral part of the planned layout of Clifton Hill.
