Description

Nos 88 and 90 are a pair of semi-detached houses dating from around 1840. They are constructed of gault brick with stucco dressings, and have a slate hipped roof extending to the eaves. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement. Each house has a two-window front, with a single-window recessed bay to the outside of each, containing a projecting porch with square piers (simplified to No 88). The ground floor is channelled; a cornice runs above. The windows are sash windows with plate glass. The architraves are corniced on the first floor and architraved above the ground floor. Nos 88 and 90 form an integral part of the planned layout of Clifton Hill.
