Description

Nos. 60 and 62, Carlton Hill are a pair of semi-detached villas dating from around 1840. They are constructed of stucco, with a roof that is not visible. The houses are two storeys high, with an attic and basement level. Each property is two windows wide, with the outer bay recessed and featuring a projecting Greek Ionic porch. The inner bays are framed and separated by giant Ionic columns. The windows have square architraves and cornices on the ground floor, and include cast iron balconies. The sashes have margin glazing. A dentil cornice sits above the first floor, and there are bracketed eaves.
