Description
40 and 42 Blenheim Terrace are a pair of semi-detached houses built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of brick with stucco dressings and feature a slate hipped roof that extends to the eaves. Each house is three storeys tall and has a basement, with two windows on the front. The entrances are located in the outer bays and are framed by pilastered square-headed surrounds, leading to panelled doors. The ground floor windows project slightly and are set within heavy stucco surrounds with cornices. The first-floor windows are square-headed and have architraves, while the second-floor windows feature gauged brick heads. All windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there are cast iron guards on the ground floor windows. A stucco band runs above the first floor, and the hipped roof continues to the eaves.
