Description
Bumble is a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century. They are timber framed and plastered, topped with a gabled peg tile roof. The cottages are one storey with attics and feature four gabled dormers on the front roof slope, which contain 19th-century casement windows.
Cottage No. 4 has a simple door and two 19th-century casements with single horizontal glazing bars. Cottage No. 2 has two 20th-century small pane casements and a large one-storey rear extension with a lean-to porch and a gabled dormer facing south. Additionally, No. 2 has a flat-roofed rear extension. The ridge line is off centre, and there is a tall chimney stack with an inglenook opening to No. 2.
