Description

Talberd Ley is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring a 'T' shaped plan. The building has one storey with attics and includes a northern crosswing that has a gabled roof covered with peg tiles. The main block also has a gabled peg tile roof, while the southern end is topped with a thatched half-hipped roof. The northern side of the crosswing is clad in painted boarding. The front of the house displays 20th-century pargetting, an off-centre boarded door, and a large red brick ridge line stack. There is a gabled dormer in the centre of the main block, along with a mix of 20th-century metal and timber casements featuring leaded lights.
