Description

Blacksmiths Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are timber framed, plastered, and have a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The cottages have four bays facing west, with a central chimney stack, and feature two single-storey rear extensions from the 19th century. There is a 20th-century porch located in the right rear angle. The cottages are one storey high with attics and have a four-window range of late 19th-century sashes, each with four lights, with the upper windows set in gabled dormers. The left cottage has a four-panel door, while the other cottage is accessed from the right rear. The roof is gambrel in style.
