Description

This is a late 16th-century barn situated south of Teycross Farmhouse. The barn has four bays, with a single aisle on the east side featuring a jettied midstrey in the Kentish style. It has jowled posts and arch-braces, with the arch-braces now replaced and secured with thread-bolted knees. The rafters are wide and flat, featuring lap-dovetailed collars and side purlins. Primary wind-bracing is in place. The roofs are fly-hipped and covered with corrugated asbestos.
