Description

Cherry Garden is a 16th-century cottage oriented from northeast to southwest. Its long walls are covered in 9-inch red brick laid in Flemish bond, with a black weatherboarded gable facing the road. The roof is ridged and gabled, thatched, and features a red brick chimney stack near the east end. There are two eyebrowed dormers positioned opposite each other, facing northwest and southeast. The ground floor has a range of three 18th-century sash windows and two front doors, all oriented towards the southeast. Inside, the cottage has flat sectioned floor joists set into heavy binding joists and heavy oak wall-plates.
