Description
Puttocks Farmhouse is a 16th century house with later additions, partly built of brick. The street-facing range is made of painted brick in Flemish bond, featuring two storeys and three bays. The central front door is set in a round-headed recess with deep reveals of fielded panelling, topped by a fanlight decorated with festoons. On the ground floor, there are two hornless 8-pane sash windows, while the first floor has two windows with 4 panes over 8, and a central window with 3 panes over 6. The building has dentilled brick eaves and a gabled, peg-tiled roof. A red brick chimney is located at the south end, with another chimney in the return of the plan. At the rear, there is a timber structure that is two storeys high and one bay wide, also with a peg-tiled roof and modern windows. A crown-post is visible on the east end of the building. The overall plan of the farmhouse is in the shape of a 'T'.
